// Commissioned works

Guided by anecdotes, dreams, and personal sharings from individuals who commission the works, I make art for living spaces and occasions. My works are mainly anchored in ink-based illustrations, with other elements and mediums introduced to provide more fertile spaces for exploration and storytelling. If you are interested in commissioning a work, please get in touch with me via my email.

SG51 - I Will Not Celebrate Singapore (2016)

This short video work is a pastiche exploring propagandistic rhetoric, picking apart the signifiers and symbols inherent to the SG50 Jubilee Year Campaign. Beginning with the Greek notion of myth as intricately tied to rhetoric, the video satirizes the occlusion and splicing of various narratives and historical accounts that ultimately interrogate and feed back into the “noble lie”. Launched as an actual campaign accompanied by other on-site elements, other forms of public interest and intervention into urban spaces were, as a result, also attendant to the lifespan and public trawl of this work.
